The PTA builds bridges between homes and schools, integrating the efforts of parents with those of the principals and teachers.  The PTA promotes the education, health, and safety of children and families ... and we have fun doing it!  The PTA is a powerful voice for all children and we make every child's potential a reality.

Meetings are conducted in a format that encourages group discussion and participation.

What does the PTA do for Linwood Elementary?

The efforts of parents, teachers, and community have made Linwood Elementary a great place to be for your child. Membership is open to all who are interested in supporting our school!  With this support, the PTA has been able to provide your children and our community with many great things, among them: 

  • A New Playground
  • Buddy Benches on playground
  • Funds for Technology: iPads, Smart Board(s)
  • Funds events free to families, including Grand Opening Event, Movie Nights
  • Books for Students & School
  • Coordinates Fundraising efforts, including the Linwood Spring Fling and Turkey & Ham Bingo
  • "Giving Tree" in December
  • Busing for Field Trips
  • Snacks for MCA Testing and Relax & Read
  • Provides breakfast for Books & Breakfast
  • Funds the 4th Grade Veteran's Day Program
  • Funds the 6th Grade Graduation

  • 6th Grade Kindness Retreat
  • Pride T-Shirts for New Students
  • Scholastic News subscriptions for grades K-3
  • Time magazine subscriptions for grades 4-6
